Welcome to Hornby United AFC your Friendly Club Hornby United has been established in Christchurch Since 1953 By Henk Koster and has had other names such as Zealandia (shared with a wellington club) and also Hornby Soccer club Before NZ football Took on the Football name with Strong Dutch origins hence the reason for our strong blend of orange colours Over the years we have Had teams competing in Chatham Cup to the lower divisions.
We cater to all ages and have teams from First kicks Right through to Senior Women and Men's Divisions. We are affiliated to Mainland football and play in the winter competitions. Our home grounds are situated at Warren Park on Oakley Crescent where we are blessed with a well draining grass park that caters for 6 senior fields, 4 intermediate and 4 juniors fields.
Hornby United is firmly situated as grassroots football club that trives to give everyone equal opportunity and foster a family type environment where everyone can get involved and be part of something nice for our community. We actively have fundraising drives for charities like RMHC to promote the family feel of the club We would love to have you as part of our club
